The DBARA K4BV Repeater News:

Latest Update on New Repeater System

Steve Szabo has turned the new repeater and controller over to Frank Haas, KB4T, for help in programming the repeater itself to the controller so that the two units can talk between themselves and implement man of the new functions available.  The transfer of hardware and programming manual was accomplished a month ago.  Frank has since then been studying the controller manual and found that it is not interactive prolonging the agony of completing the job.

He has asked for help in the programming tasking.  But good help is hard to find that can be available when he has the time to work on it.

During the January 2011 General Members Meeting, Stephen Szabo, WB4OMM, Repeater Trustee for the DBARA K4BV Repeater, gave an very interesting discussion on "Repeater Etiquette."  Although he passed out plenty of hard copies it was such a success that we wanted to make it available to others.  These guidelines are a composite of many guideline s from a nationwide internet search.

Everyone is reminded that these comments are for use as a guideline and are not doctrinal at this time.
