Project Ponce Inlet Lighthouse

Greetings

I have been asked by the folks at Ponce de Leon Lighthouse if I and any other Hams would like to participate in ILLW (International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend) this year. ILLW is on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22. The Lighthouse holds and uses Amateur Callsign K4PIL.

I will set up my station at the LH assuming I get firm commitment from at least five others. The hams who commit should be prepared to assist with set up, operation/demonstration and tear down. I hope to operate CW and PSK in addition to SSB, so I am looking for CW and PSK operators.

The schedule on Saturday will be setup beginning at 0830, operation beginning at 1000 and concluding about 1530, then tear down. I need at least two others during set up and tear down and all are welcome to operate/demonstrate.

Provided there are enough participants we will also operate on Sunday. The Lighthouse will provide an air-conditioned operating position. We will demonstrate various operating modes to Lighthouse visitors and hopefully make many contacts with other Lighthouses and Lightships around the world.

If you would like to participate and are ready to commit to operating and demonstrating K4PIL please contact me via email to Me. Please list the day and time you will be available. Full house as of 2011.06.10
