August 19th, 2017 by

The Daytona Beach CERT Amateur Radio Team, will be holding a Technician License review course and FCC Testing Session on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at the Daytona Beach Police Department – 129 Valor Blvd in Daytona Beach. The license review starts at 9:00 am and ends at 12 noon. FCC Testing will start at 1:30 pm.

Interested? Get a license study manual and take the practice tests to get up to speed. We recommend The ARRL license manual 3rd Edition: http://www.arrl.org/…/ARRL-Ham-Radio-LicenseManual-3rd-Ed…/…

This edition contains all of the information necessary to pass the FCC exam, and includes all of the current test questions (and answers). The review portion will highlight some of the licensing requirements and provide answers to questions and clear up any confusion on the materials.

The test for the Technician license is a 35-question written exam (you need 26 correct to pass – 75%), generally on rules and operating regulations.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE! THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THE REVIEW COURSE!!

All Materials will be provided (coffee and doughnuts too!). The FCC license testing session is $15.00 (CASH ONLY). Bring a black ink pen and a government issued photo ID to take the test.
